You aren’t going to gain 20 lbs from one day of eating poorly and you’re not going to lose 20 lbs from one day of eating well.
So for starters, just take a deep breath and let’s go in with a general game plan so we aren’t being ridiculous.
The biggest risk is throwing off your regular habits at CrossFit OYL and routines so let’s establish ONE basic habit this week and through the end of the year, that you can take with you anywhere you go…

Nutrition Strategy – Prioritize Protein
If you’re a Texan, then this is great news for you. Are you really a Texan if you’re not tearing up an entire Brisket for both Thanksgiving & Christmas???
My #1 piece of advice this holiday season is to just start every meal with protein.
10 bites of protein, then do whatever you want.
Steak, eggs, chicken, pork, turkey, cheese, fish, shrimp, greek yogurt, ground beef, lamb, or deli meat. It’s a long list of options!
If you can nail the first 10 bites of your meal, then it’ll be much harder to derail later!
Get the good stuff first, and let the rest fall into place.
